Some cool Whole Food Diet images:

Clear Lake, California USA

At Clear Lake in California, this family and other volunteers gathered to work
in getting lots of non-native, invasive plants out of the lake in preparation of
transplanting tule grasses, a very important filtering marsh grass that has been
70% decimated due to development and increasing agricultural runoff.

"What’s good for you (a plant-based, whole foods diet)is also good for our
planet. Livestock consumption causes more global warming than all forms of
transportation combined. It takes 10 times more energy to produce animal-based
protein than plant-based protein."
~Dean Ornish, MD
Founder and President, Preventive Medicine Research Institute
Clinical Professor of Medicine, University of California, San Francisco

"The evidence is consistent and compelling that vegetarians suffer less from the
diseases associated with the typical Western diet. Vegetarians have repeatedly
been shown to have lower rates of obesity, coronary heart disease, hypertension,
type II diabetes, diverticular disease, constipation and gall stones. They also
have lower rates of many kinds of cancer, including colon cancer and the hormone
dependent cancers such as prostate cancer, breast cancer, uterine cancer and
ovarian cancer. …Tragically, one in every three children born this year in the
U.S. will develop diabetes in their lifetime."
~John Robbins, author of "Diet for a New America" and the just released tenth
anniversary edition of "The Food Revolution: How Your Diet Can Help Save Your
Life And Our World."
